Commercial Cleaning in a Freight Town

Pressure washing in Ontario is shaped by freight. Ontario International Airport is the city's largest employer and ranked 8th among U.S. airports for cargo in federal data cited by Wikipedia, and the warehouses around it make Ontario a major hub for FedEx and UPS. Distribution centers for AutoZone, Cardinal Health, Genuine Parts/NAPA and Nordstrom operate here, and Amazon opened its largest U.S. warehouse in the city in 2024. Every one of those sites has truck courts, docks and entries that collect oil, rubber and dust.

What we clean for commercial properties

  • Truck courts and dock aprons. Oil, hydraulic fluid and tire residue build up where trucks idle and turn. We degrease, then clean with hot water and surface cleaners.
  • Building entries and walkways. Gum, food spills and foot traffic stains at employee and customer entrances.
  • Dumpster and compactor pads. Odor and grease control, especially in summer heat.
  • Building walls and signage. Concrete tilt-up walls and signs streaked by dust and rain.

Before we start, we plan how wash water will be contained so it does not flow untreated into storm drains. We can work nights and weekends around shifts and give you a written scope for your facility manager.

New Haven and the former ag preserve

In 1999, the large agricultural area in southern Ontario was rezoned for homes and businesses. It was first called the New Model Colony, then Ontario Ranch, and now New Haven, and it is still being built out with neighborhoods, business parks and town centers. Newer homes there do not have decades of buildup, but they do get construction dust from nearby lots, hard-water spots from new irrigation and dirt on fresh concrete. A first cleaning on a newer home is usually light: a soft wash of the stucco, a driveway pass and window frames.

Dust that blows in

Santa Ana winds hit Ontario often in autumn and winter, and dairy and farm operations still run in parts of southern Ontario and neighboring Chino. Between wind-blown soil and nearby fields, homes and solar panels collect dust quickly. Ontario is also one of the drier cities in the region, averaging 11.64 inches of rain a year with almost none from June through September, so there is little rain to wash anything off. We clean solar panels with purified water and soft brushes and schedule house washes after the wind dies down.

The original Model Colony

The Chaffey brothers founded the Ontario Model Colony in the early 1880s, and the city incorporated on December 10, 1891. Their Euclid Avenue, with its wide lanes and grassy median, is now State Route 83. Older neighborhoods near the original colony have homes with mature trees, older concrete and painted surfaces that need gentler settings. We adjust our methods to the age and condition of the house, and point out cracked concrete or loose paint before cleaning.

Homes and rentals

About 58.0% of Ontario homes are owner-occupied, and many rentals sit near the airport and warehouse corridors. For owners and managers, we clean driveways, walkways, block walls and stucco between tenants, and can send photos when the job is done.

Ontario by the Numbers

  • A major cargo airport. Ontario International Airport, which began as Ontario Municipal Airport in 1929, is the city's largest employer and ranked 8th among U.S. airports for cargo in federal data cited by Wikipedia, with major FedEx and UPS operations.
  • Warehouse economy. The local economy is dominated by service industries and warehousing, with distribution centers run by AutoZone, Cardinal Health, Genuine Parts/NAPA and Nordstrom. Amazon opened its largest U.S. warehouse in Ontario in 2024.
  • Dry year round, windy in fall. Ontario averages 11.64 inches of rain a year, with June through September averaging 0.10 inches or less per month, and Santa Ana winds hit the area frequently in autumn and winter.
  • Former farmland, now New Haven. In 1999 the agricultural preserve in southern Ontario was rezoned for residential and commercial use. Once called the New Model Colony and then Ontario Ranch, the area is now New Haven.
  • Housing mix. About 58.0% of Ontario homes are owner-occupied, the median owner-occupied value is $607,600 and 92.5% of residents lived in the same house one year earlier (Census ACS, 2020 to 2024).

Ontario Questions

Can you clean truck courts and docks at an Ontario warehouse?

Yes. We degrease and clean truck courts, dock aprons, compactor pads and entries, contain the wash water and can work overnight or on weekends so operations keep moving.

My New Haven home is only a few years old. Does it need washing?

Usually a light clean is enough. Construction dust from nearby lots and hard-water spots from new sprinklers build up on stucco, windows and concrete, and a soft wash and driveway pass take care of most of it.

When is the best time to clean solar panels in Ontario?

After the Santa Ana wind season, in late fall or winter, and again in late spring before the long dry summer. Morning cleanings are best, while the glass is cool.

Do you offer recurring service for commercial sites?

Yes. Many commercial customers choose monthly or quarterly visits for entries, dumpster areas and docks. We put the frequency and scope in writing.
