For solar panels and windows we rinse with filtered, low-mineral water so the glass does not dry with spots.
We also plan where the water goes. Hesperia is one of the Mojave River Watershed agencies covered by a state stormwater permit that requires them to prohibit non-stormwater discharges into the storm drain system. The watershed group's own guidance for pressure washing building exteriors is to block nearby storm drains and send the wash water to a dirt area. Before we start, we look at where your driveway slopes and where the nearest inlet is.
